Our boy Devon finally did it! Not only did he see Yvonne, but he actually met her, chatted her up, and even asked her about the site!
Good to know that ‘Strahotski’ has become a loving nickname for Ms. Strahovski while on the set of Chuck. We’ve always been fond of it.
You can read Devon’s write-up of his experiences with Yvonne here, but this post is to show off his awesome pictures.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s a whole new Fan Photos gallery to show off his pics.
I’ve even bent the rules a little and thrown a up a pic of Devon with Zach Levi. And if you look close enough at the photo of the poster, you can see Yvonne’s signature.
Congratulations to Devon for getting to meet the lovely lass. If we bug her about the site enough, maybe we’ll get an interview someday (which of course has the ulterior motive of me getting to meet her!).
If you’ve got photos of Yvonne from Comic-Con, send them to us at submissions@strahotski.com!
There isn’t too much to write about at this point. NBC has posted the entire 45 minutes panel here and the Season 2 montage is on YouTube here. The panel is obviously hilarious and insightful about how the next season will play out as well as all of the new changes (such as Sarah’s new job, Bryce coming back, Jill making an appearance, ect…).
My birthday was indeed exciting though! The Chuck cast/crew autograph signing was at 2:15pm, followed by the panel at 3:30pm. I waited around for about an hour and half waiting for Convention Center Security (the “Elite”) to get a line organized, and once they did I was about 20th or so. I was pretty close to the front.
Like I said in my Paley report (is it a report? Write-up?), Yvonne is stunning up close. I stand by it. This time, I was able to speak face to face with her and she was nice enough to take a picture with me! We talked briefly about our birthdays (hers is next Wednesday), and we talked about being leo’s and the upcoming panel, took our picture, and security cut it short to keep the line moving. The pictures are uploaded, including a picture of the poster I got signed as well as some pictures from the panel.
Most of you knew this, but she’s a sweetheart. Very genuine, and WELL aware of Strahotski. “All of the guys call me Strahotski on set because of the site!” I had brought it up with her to see if maybe she checked the place out and she mentioned she has, but how often, I don’t know.
Just to get to the point, enjoy.
There’s a thread you can check out here and a bit off-topic, but more pictures from Comic-Con on my MySpace.
EDIT: Pictures will be up when I can figure out how to resize them. I guess they are too big.
Editor’s Note: I’ve got the pictures and will put them in a gallery and post again when I have them up. - Lykaon
We all know Comic-Con is days away and on Saturday July 26th, the cast and crew of Chuck will return for a Q & A and (hopefully!) a meet n’ greet/autograph signing session! I only know of one other member of Strahotski going but I wanted to inform those that didn’t know, that I will be attending the event as well and I will be at the Chuck panel!
We’ve been short of updates as of late (for obvious reasons!) and felt it was necessary to give you guys a boost. I’ll be blogging Comic-Con panels in the Strahotski forums but I’ll do a major update on the page for the Chuck panel (like I did with Paleyfest.)
July 30th also marks Yvonne’s 26th birthday, I’ll be sure to wish her a happy birthday if/when I see her.
Again, just an informing update. I’m counting down the days!
Also, not that it’s too exciting, but I turn 20 on July 26th as well, so I’m pulling for a good day on that Saturday!
Thanks to some quick scanning by reader bzzg, we’ve got our own copy of the recent appearance of Miss Yvonne Strahovski in Self Magazine.
Impressive (and big) pictures to be sure. It’s one thing to admire someone as beautiful as Yvonne, but now it’s 100% clear that she can kick my butt too!
There’s a total of five pictures that you can find in the new Magazine Pics gallery.
I know it’s been a while between updates. Although Yvonne has been here and there, we’ve not come across any particularly juicy tidbits with pics that we had a right to post.
You can always check our forums, though, where the fans frequently post pics and info about Yvonne’s appearances at parties and such.
On to the news — Digital Bits is reporting that Chuck has been announced for the first season release of the DVDs.
Included will be:
- 4-disc set with all Season 1 episodes in anamorphic widescreen video with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio
- Declassified Scenes (deleted scenes)
- 2 featurettes (Chuck’s World and Chuck on Chuck)
- Chuck vs. the Chuckles gag reel
- Chuck’s Online World gallery of web originated mini-featurettes
- Playable demo of EA Sports’ Madden NFL 2009 for the Xbox 360
No word on whether the set will be release in Blu-Ray at this time, but it looks like quite a collection of fun which is sure to yield lots of new screen captures for all of those anxiously awaiting more Yvonne.
Downside is that it’s not scheduled for release until September 16, 2008. That’s a few months away, but that date does give us a heads up on when the new season will start.
Generally, these sorts of DVD sets are released a week or two before the next season starts so we should be seeing Season 2 of Chuck shortly after 9/16.
I know I’m excited about this. Hopefully the lovely Yvonne Strahovski gets ample time in the special features.
UPDATE: Here’s another link to an article on the DVD set, courtesy of bzzg from the forums.
UPDATE 2: It looks like Amazon.com has Chuck - The Complete First Season up for preorder. As luck would have it, they’re currently having a sale on TV DVDs.- Rob
When times are slow, you can always count on the Yvonne Strahovski fan community to come through with some great user-created artwork!
Reader Sus has done just that with three new wallpapers featuring our favorite Australian Super Spy.
Excellent additions to our fan wallpaper gallery to be sure! If you have any user-created artwork you’d like us to throw in our gallery, email us at submissions@strahotski.com.
Sorry it’s been slow ladies and gentlemen. While the “Chuck” front has been slow, Yvonne took the time and attended various parties last week for Details Magazine and a screening at the Prada Beverly Hills Epicenter. We’ve got some high-quality pictures of our favorite and ever-so-lovely Australian right here for you.
Thanks to reader bzzg for the find. You can view all 8 new pictures in the Appearences Gallery.
Forget the photos you’ve seen and the episodes on TV. Yvonne is absolutely stunning up close in person. Absolutely stunning. But I do have very, VERY disappointing news. I didn’t get the chance to snag an autograph OR a picture. Once the panel wrapped, she signed autographs for a good 5 minutes or so then was escorted out of the Cinerama Dome. When I went over to ask for an autograph or picture, she walked to the other side of the stage, so I made way over to her side, and her bodyguards (or agents?) were telling everyone that there would be no more signings from her or pictures, and off she went. Talk about breaking my heart haha.
I didn’t write anything down, but I remember quite a bit of it to give you a juicy bit of info. Again, and this can’t be said enough, Yvonne was absolutely stunning. The members in attendance were Josh Schwartz (Cocreator/Executive producer), Chris Fedak (Cocreator/Executive Producer), McG (Executive Producer), Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahotvski, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Adam Baldwin, Vik Sahay, Julia Ling, Mark Christopher Lawrence, and Scott Krinsky. Sarah Lancaster was ill and couldn’t make it.
They started the night off with “Chuck versus the Montage” because well, a strike bogged any chances of a new episode. The cast was then introduced (I was the only one to give Yvonne a standing ovation), and questions and hilarity ensued. Zach and Josh are so funny together as it is, but in person as well, they bounce off each other like bouncy walls. It was incredibly funny watching these two go on and on about video games, Godzilla vs. (I forgot the name, but he can multiply himself!!), and more video games. Josh and Ryan were making fun of each other all night as well, and McG made fun of everyone a little bit. Oh, I also met McG before the whole event happened. I went to get something to drink and on my way back he was walking up the hallway. We shook hands, introduced ourselves, and I ended up wishing him luck on “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.”
Back to topic, they touched up on Season 2 as well. According to Josh Schwartz, the Writer’s just started today working on everything, and they start shooting the pilot for season 2 in the beginning of May! This brought a cheer. They briefly talked about the Chuck comic that didn’t bring too much of a cheer, but the cast acknowledged the lack of response and made it somewhat humerous, and that was fun.
Like I said, I gave Yvonne a standing ovation when she originally was called up, but midway through the panel, I believe McG or Zach asked what the fans would want to see next season. It was kinda loud from people applauding and chattering from a comment right before they asked the question, but when they asked what we (the fans) wanted to see, I yelled “Yvonne!!” and it was quiet all of a sudden. I had Zach and Yvonne both look right at me and I just kind of smiled. Zach actually pointed at me and smirked, it was pretty funny. Then I got the chance to ask a question when they handed it to the audience. I got my turn at a question, and I told Zach that Spiral was awesome, but the question was for Yvonne, and I said something along the lines of “In an interview you said that before your first kissing scene Zach had eaten a big philly cheesesteak sandwhich loaded with onions.” Zach and Yvonne started laughing and Zach explained how he was hungry and he saw the sandwiches and just had to have one. Yvonne said she made him have altoids afterward, and I told Zach I would’ve been brushing my teeth for 6 hours straight before the scene happened. Then the usher took the mic away because we kind of started this mini-convo and the show had to continue, oops!
The photos attached are the best of Yvonne I could snap off and Yvonne if you happen to catch this, my apologies if you don’t like them. I tried my best!
I got my Nerd Herd shirt autographed by Josh Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Mark Chrisopher Lawrence, and Adam Baldwin, and I got my copy of Spiral on DVD autographed my Zach. I asked him for a picture and he said he’d love to but it all depended on if he was allowed to, which ended up being he wasn’t allowed to. They dragged him out too.
I’ll be sure to add info as I remember it or whatever the case may be, but as far as new info go, there wasn’t too much. Just more about the creative process and they will be making an appearance at this years Comic-Con which I will be attending.
A very special thanks to those who donated to send me and a very sincere apology that I couldn’t snap off too many pictures!
It’s been awhile since I was told I would be able to post my own updates on Strahotski.com, but as you may have read, I’ve been busy working on a feature film titled “Soccer Mom.” Long story short, we wrap principal photography tomorrow (March 10th).
On to the juicy news. My trip to Paleyfest is officially secured and it’s thanks to those who donated to send me. I’ve been working on this movie for free which kinds of tightens my budget a bit, so my deepest thanks go to those who donated. You will not be disappointed! My sister will be joining me to take nice shots of me and the cast (I heard we were allowed to take pictures with the cast and stuff, correct me if I’m wrong), and I will post my write up the moment I get home! Pics will obviously be included as well.
Oh, and I’ll tell you what Yvonne says when I tell her we’re getting married one day.
